Kiln Firing Services in Kraków

Formowanie offers professional kiln firing services in Kraków for ceramic artists, students, instructors, hobbyists and people creating pottery at home.

Our high-quality Kittec CB 60 kiln can be booked as a complete kiln, by kiln shelf or for individual ceramic pieces. Services include bisque firing, low-temperature glaze firing and stoneware glaze firing, depending on the clay body, glaze and required firing programme.

Before accepting external ceramic work, we may ask for information about the clay, glaze, firing range and materials used. This protects the kiln, the shelves and the work of other artists while helping us select a suitable firing schedule.

Different Ways to Work with Clay

Hand Building & Pottery Wheel Throwing

Hand Building

Hand building allows makers to shape clay directly using their hands and simple ceramics tools. Techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab building are ideal for plates, sculptures, textured surfaces, decorative objects and expressive handmade forms.

Hand building is accessible to beginners but offers almost unlimited possibilities for experienced ceramic artists.

Pottery Wheel Throwing

Pottery wheel throwing is based on movement, balance, control and repetition. Makers learn to centre clay and create cups, bowls, vases, plant pots and other rotational forms.

Regular practice develops coordination, precision and a deeper understanding of how clay responds to pressure and movement.

Many ceramic artists combine wheel throwing, hand building, carving, glazing and surface decoration within the same project. There is no single correct way to work with clay.

Creative Experiences for Everyone

Ceramics for Children, Adults, Families & Companies

Pottery is accessible to people of many ages and experience levels. Children can explore shape, texture, imagination and creative problem-solving, while adults can slow down, focus and develop a practical skill.

Families and friends can work together while creating individual ceramic pieces. Companies can use ceramics workshops as a more meaningful and interactive form of team building.

Private workshops can be adapted for beginners, mixed-experience groups, children, adults, schools, tourists and professional teams.

Traditional Craft Meets Modern Making

A Creative Ceramics Studio in Central Kraków

Formowanie is more than a pottery studio. It is a place where traditional craft, contemporary design and modern fabrication come together.

Ceramic pieces can be combined with laser-cut wooden stands, CNC-routed bases, welded metal frames, screen-printed graphics, vinyl designs, electronics or 3D-printed components.

This connection between ceramics and other creative disciplines allows makers to develop original mixed-material projects that would be difficult to produce in a conventional pottery studio.

At Formowanie, pottery is not only about making an object. It is about forming skills, ideas, confidence and relationships through the experience of creating together.
