Welding & Metal Fabrication

Welding Formowanie Makerspace Krakow

Welding & Metal Fabrication Studio in Kraków

Formowanie provides a shared welding and metal fabrication studio in Kraków for makers, designers, artists, fabricators and small businesses who need a properly equipped space for working with metal.

The workshop can be used to build furniture, frames, brackets, shelving, prototypes, sculptures, repairs, architectural elements and custom metal products. You can come with a one-off project, develop prototypes over several visits, or use Formowanie regularly as a workshop without having to rent and equip a metalworking space of your own.

Experienced users can work independently, while beginners can learn the fundamentals of welding and metal fabrication through practical workshops before using the equipment on their own.

Welding & Metalworking Equipment

The metalworking area is set up for the main stages of fabrication: measuring, cutting, fitting, welding, drilling, grinding and finishing.

A MIG welder provides a practical and versatile way to join steel components for structural and creative projects. Material can be cut to size using the metal chop saw, while angle grinders can be used for cutting, preparing surfaces, cleaning welds and finishing edges.

The workspace also includes drilling equipment, a dedicated welding table, clamps, welding helmets and shared hand tools for positioning and assembling components accurately.

This makes it possible to move from raw metal stock to a finished fabricated object within the same workspace.

Available equipment: MIG welder · Metal chop saw · Angle grinders · Drilling equipment · Welding table · Clamps · Welding helmets · Shared fabrication tools

Build Personal, Commercial & Prototype Projects

Metal fabrication can be used for anything from a simple repair to a complete product or piece of furniture.

Formowanie gives you a place to develop projects without needing your own garage, welding equipment or dedicated fabrication workshop. You can build individual pieces, test new designs, produce prototypes or work on small commercial projects.

For designers and small businesses, the studio can also function as a flexible starting point for developing metal furniture, product components, display systems, frames, fixtures and custom fabricated objects before investing in a workshop of your own.

Because welding is part of the wider Formowanie makerspace, metal components can also be combined with woodworking, CNC fabrication, plasma cutting, 3D printing, leatherworking and other processes when developing more complex projects.

Book the Workshop or Join as a Member

Experienced users can reserve available welding and metalworking equipment for independent projects through the Formowanie booking system.

If you expect to use the workshop regularly, a membership provides a more flexible way to use Formowanie as an ongoing workspace and gives you access to other parts of the makerspace depending on your membership.

Independent welding equipment use is intended for people who already understand the equipment and can work safely. If you are new to welding, start with one of our practical workshops before booking the equipment independently.

Welding Workshops in Kraków

If you have never welded before, our practical welding workshops provide an introduction to the equipment, safety and basic techniques needed to begin working with metal confidently.

Workshops cover areas such as preparing materials, setting up the welder, positioning and clamping parts, tack welding, creating basic welds, joining components and cleaning or finishing the completed weld.

The focus is on hands-on practice rather than theory alone. You will work directly with the equipment and learn how the different stages of fabrication fit together, from preparing the material to producing a finished joint.

Workshops are suitable for complete beginners, makers, artists, designers and people who want to develop practical fabrication skills before beginning their own projects.
